Meet Lesley
"I am the founder and designer of Heart & Heritage. I love fine craftsmanship and the stories behind things. I also love making things, which is how I like to spend my days."
Lesley Kellerman nee Whitter studied fashion design and graduated cum laude from the University of Johannesburg. She started H&H in 2014 after gaining retail and merchandising work experience in London, Toronto and South Africa. She also founded Convoy, a retail collaboration and incubator for South African designers.
Meet Samuel
"I am a garment technician at Heart & Heritage. I love my morning cup of coffee and a perfectly sewed stitch. I assist Lesley in the construction process to ensure Heart & Heritage designs are made flawlessly."
Samuel Phiri has been sewing since childhood. His wealth of knowledge and precision skills are invaluable to the brand.
Samuel also offers tailoring, alteration and custom sewing services from our studio in Craighall Park.
Meet Tshego
"You may recognise me from all our product photos"
Apart from being the face of the brand, Tshego also wears many other hats in the business. She manages our trade events, socials, web sales and assists as a manager and junior designer for the studio.
Tshego Moeketsane studied fashion design at The University of Johannesburg, she has an impeccable eye for detail, which she expresses through her gorgeous self designed hair styles.
